Fearne Cotton used to be a Guide
Fearne Cotton is a TV and radio presenter who you may know from Eureka TV, The Saturday Show, Top of the Pops and Radio 1s weekend breakfast show. But did you know that Fearne used to be a Guide? Find out what Fearne thinks about guiding, discover why shes involved in Red Nose Day and learn what vegetable she would like to ban!

How are you enjoying presenting on Radio 1?
It is so much fun. Reggie [fellow presenter Reggie Yates] and I giggle so much that sometimes we cant even talk! We dance around the studios so much its like were out clubbing some mornings!

Which do you prefer working on - radio or TV?
I guess TV as Ive done it longer but I love the new challenges radio throws at me.

You used to be a Guide. Whats good about guiding?
I think its a great way of learning new skills and making friends.

Brownies earn badges for their skills and talents. What hidden talent would you earn a Brownie badge for?
Definitely talking! Im awful good at talking a bit too much perhaps! I drive my mates mad with my constant gibbering! Also shopping - I have a definite talent for this unfortunately!

What was it like being fired onto a giant dartboard during Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway?
Ha ha! Interesting I guess I can tick it off the life list now!

Youve been involved in Comic Relief and Red Nose Day. What do you like about it?
Its such a special event. I adore being part of it all! I got the chance to go to Africa last time which was such an incredible experience. The night is always such good fun too. I hope to go back to Africa one day to see how the projects I visited have benefited.

And what would you say to people who aren't keen to wear a red nose?
I dont see why you wouldnt. Its such fun. You can do anything you like to raise money and now Ive seen directly where the money goes I couldnt be more passionate about it!

Finally, I hear that you think that celery should be banned what's celery ever done to you?
I HATE IT! A whole meal can be ruined by such a silly little vegetable! YUCK!

Dont forget Red Nose Day on 16 March 2007. There are lots of fun ways to raise money to make kids in Africa happy. Take a look at the Red Nose Day website for some great ideas.
