Brownie advice column

What advice would you give to Alice?

I went to a fireworks party and I was really scared of the fireworks. One of my friends was laughing at me but I don't know how to get over being scared of them.

Alice

Hi
Wear ear muffs and cooton wool in your ears that did the trick when I was younger. Then when you get used to it take them off one by one. Be safe and don't listen to your friend.

Hi Alice, I'm 19 and a brown owl and i dont like fireworks. but they are lovely things to watch so i eaither watch inside or i go out and have some ear defenders or good old hands over the ears. it gets better the older you get. dont listen to the girls that laugh they will have things they dont like and you are being the bigger person by not laughin at them!! if it carries on and becomes bullying tell someone and get it sorted!! hope that helps and dont worry Beth x

I think the more you go to fireworks, the more you get used to it. Don't Worry--> you'll get over it soon.
